MW3.5 Basic Assembly

  • (2) 6/32 x 1/8″ Button head socket Screws
  • (2) 6/32 nylock nuts
  • (2) Parker 3014 56 11 Female Connector 1/4 x 1/8NPT (McMaster 5779K129(
  • (2) 1/16 x 1/8NPT Tube Adapters (McMaster 5153K34)
  • Bourns PEC11L-4220F-S0015 Encoder
  • HDMI Mini Right Angle “Up” to 20FPC adapter
  • 20FPC cable, opposite ends
  • Knurled Knob for the Encoder
  • Raspberry Pi Zero W with 2×20 header soldered on wrong side
  • Micro SD Card loaded with MW Avionics Image
  • 1/16 clear vinyl tubing
  • 1/16 tee (McMaster 5117K11)
  • Internal Wire Harness (see blog post)
  • Mountain Wave Avionics HDMI v5.1 Assembled PCB

Assemble the HDMI Ribbon cable first to the PCB, then snap the Pi on, Then plug in HDMI

Assemble the wiring harness using number 6 screws and nylock nuts
Assemble the air data fittings, 1/16 barbed connection on inside, push to connect on outside
Assemble the tubing so that one side has a tee in it. This is the static line going to both absolute and differential pressure sensors

Assemble the tubing in the enclosure, connect the wiring harness to the MW PCB
Carefully feed the tubing and wiring into the enclosure and fasten the PCB with 4 screws into the enclosure
Connect the Screen Ribbon Connector
Insert the Encoder into the Front Panel
Snap on the Front Cover and assemble the knurled knob
